Bryan, Susan and their team welcome you to The Leather Bottle. Set in the picturesque village of Cobham Kent, full of nostalgic charm and character. A warm relaxing half timbered pub, restaurant and guest house serving modern English cuisine, with real ales and fine wines.
The Leather Bottle is a 16th century building offering a wide range of freshly prepared dishes sourced locally in a relaxed and inviting restaurant atmosphere.
Our manager Keri and our head chef Roy work closely together to source as much of our produce as possible from surrounding areas, such as Glovers Butchers in Hartley for all our meats.
The Inn is known to many as Charles Dickens “favourite ale house in Cobham”, the great man himself not only used the inn but often stayed in room 2 & 6, and he also featured it in The Pickwick Papers, for it was here that the lovelorn Mr Tracey Tupman fled after being jilted by his sweetheart Rachel Wardle, where he drowned his sorrows in Mr Pickwick’s company.
The Leather Bottle has 6 en-suite guest rooms with one antique four poster room. As you would expect in a period property, guest rooms are quirky and full of character.
En-suite Bed & Breakfast :from £65 per night.

Our Pickwick’s restaurant area is ideal for functions, smaller groups, parties or special occasions, it can seat up to 38, with a bar area that can seat up to 40. We can offer a bespoke 3 course party/celebration menu or can tailor a buffet to suit your budget.
We have a beautiful large garden area with picnic benches and a covered heated marque for dinning in the cooler nights.
Special diets and gluten free are catered for, please just let one of our team know.
Staying and dining by candlelight at The leather Bottle’s excellent oak beamed Pickwick Restaurant is a memorable treat
