No.84 is perched on the kerbside of the roundabout at Echo Square, Gravesend, you’ll see us, straight across the grassy knoll from The Sewing Shop and right next door to Dawn Claire; where you can get your hair cut. We’ve got the chairs outside.
We love to meet new people and generally have a very happy and welcoming demeanour. We also encourage regular visits and believe them to be beneficial for both ourselves and you. It’s nice to get to know people.
You can eat at No.84. We have a menu of delights to satisfy you in the morning and at lunchtime. Our breakfast is really very good; we make proper sandwiches and things so tasty to go with our salads such as quiche or lasagne that Andrea makes especially for you. We might not have met you yet, but we already know we are going to like you.
Our cake has everyone talking, but as yet there hasn’t been an appropriate attributive adjective found that we feel comfortable to use when describing it. We have ‘Ben Cake’ is as close as we have come to that kind of perfection.
Thirsty? We’ve got you, as all the kids say.
We don’t just feed your tummies here at No.84; we like to also offer you food for thought. With regular night-time activities you might learn a new skill, tell us a story about a holiday you once took with that boy who worked in Woolworths, dance like no one is looking, or even hear something you never thought about before.
I know it’s easy for us to say all this. We think we’re a nice place to come and let’s face it; we wouldn’t keep turning up if we didn’t. We don’t know what to do about that though. So maybe come and have a look if that’s not too hard a sell?
Sometimes we tell you things on social media, there is a website, we have a phone and love to get your letters and postcards telling us what you are up to. But look at us rabbiting on like you’ve got all day. You get back to what you should be doing and perhaps we might bump into each other soon.
