What a lovely act of kindness, Elisha Collier a professional vocalist, performed various genres of music from the 50’s to modern day for neighbours and passers-by. Elisha delighted a small audience for over an hour with 22 songs!. Elisha sings professionally, and has previously performed a ‘Garden Gig’ in Sole Street during lockdown.
People were stopping to listen from the gate in the alley behind her grandparents house. The talented young vocalist also made a care home in Staplehurst’s day with a live performance from their garden.
Elisha commented,
“I have done gigs in both Istead Rise and Sole Street to keep everyone’s spirts up during lockdown, and it has seemed to have gone down extremely well in both communities!”

These were some of the reactions that Elisha received from residents and from viewers of her live stream:
“Who is that? She’s fantastic.”
Wayde Park and Derek Parsons from Shorne, “You were brilliant, thank you.”
Julie Angela from Sole Street, “Enjoyed that, thank you.”
Mary Smith from Sole Street, “Every bit as good as last time!”
Samatha, “Lovely voice”.
Vicki Howell from Istead Rise, “We popped by when out for a walk, sounded absolutely fantastic, it brightened our day!”

Cllr Dibben, “I was delighted that Elisha came to Istead Rise today, it really did give a boost of morale to our residents with her performance, thank you so very much, we all thoroughly enjoyed it”.
We wish Elisha all the best in her career, and would love to hear her perform again soon, perhaps up the Community Centre’s bar garden, when guidlines permit of course.
Elisha streams the gigs live on her Facebook page here, where you can follow her next performance in Shorne, which is to be announced shortly.
