Istead Rise Scout Group is a successful group of over 60 members across all sections, Beavers (ages 6–8); Cubs (ages 8-10½); Scouts (ages 10½–14) . The group has met on the current site since the early 1960’s and the current building has been open for nearly 4 years following 6 years of fundraising to replace the old dilapidated wooden hut. Everything to do with Scouting is run by volunteers and we rely on our subscriptions, fundraising and donations to provide local youngsters with a varied and active programme.
We promote the development of young people to achieve their potential physically, socially, spiritually and intellectually as individuals and responsible citizens in their local, national and international communities.
We meet at our HQ on Downs Road (opposite the school) at the following times:-
Beavers meet Thursdays 5:45pm – 6:45pm
Cubs meet Tuesdays 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Scouts meet Thursdays 7:00pm – 8:30pm
