Little did we know that a community club, started by a local resident and supported by a number of volunteers, would still be running over 40 years later! Istead Rise Gymnastics Club welcomes gymnasts from the local and surrounding areas. Having grown throughout the years, and established links with local secondary schools, the club has been supported by a couple of small grants that has enabled new equipment to be purchased to support the level of gymnastics being delivered.
The club continues to survive on its positive reputation as a club designed for boys and girls, aged 5 and up, who seek enjoyment and personal fulfilment through participation in gymnastics activities. This recreational club runs twice weekly, on Tuesday and Friday evenings from 4:30 – 6:30pm at Istead Rise Community Centre.
